Anna E. (Kotzun) Schultz, 76, of Tuftonboro, NH, formerly of Meredith, Pelham and Derry, NH passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.
She was born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late John and Anna Kotzun. Ann grew up in Union, NJ and graduated from Union High School. Known for her love of cooking and giving warm hugs to her family and friends, she enjoyed bowling, gardening, dancing, playing canasta and pickleball. Ann was an avid outdoor enthusiast who took pleasure in camping, hiking, kayaking and boating in the New Hampshire Lakes Region. Ann was a member of Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Salem, NH and had worked most recently as a legal assistant for Sheehan, Phinney, Bass & Green in Manchester, NH. She was a volunteer with the Life Ministries Food Pantry, the Wolfeboro Garden Club and the Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm. Ann will be remembered as a giver who embraced life and touched all those she met in a positive and genuine way.
She is survived by her children, William Schultz of North Kingstown, RI and Debra Cox and her husband David of Acton, MA; her "husband", Russell Baerenklau of Tuftonboro, NH; her six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine, Victoria, John, Matthew and Laura; her three siblings, Helen Kotzun of Deltona, FL, John Kotzun of Dover, DE and Judith Gately of Sea Girt, NJ; her nephew, Brian Gately and her niece, Shandra Kotzun.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Schultz.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 8 th at 11:00 AM at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, 171 Zion Hill Rd, Salem, NH.
