Anna E. (Vogler) (Burns) Ichton, passed away Saturday March 18, 2023 at home after a brief illness.

Anna was born and educated in Methuen, MA the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Mueller) and Herman Vogler. Anna graduated from Methuen High, class of 1941. Anna worked briefly at a pharmacy and in a fabric factory before meeting her husband.

Anna met William "Bill" Burns at a bowling alley. They married in 1945 and had four children. She lost Bill at the young age of 42 and continued to raise their children in Salem, NH. Three years later she found love again when she met and married Joseph "Jazz" Ichton.

Anna worked for many years for ITT Semiconductors from which she retired. After retirement Anna and Jazz were frequent world travelers. Anna used to tell stories of the many places she was able to travel to. While sick, Anna said many times that she had been lucky enough to have seen more than most, lived longer than most and was loved more than most.

Anna raised four loving children and one stepdaughter, she was blessed to have 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was affectionately known to most as Little Nana at 4' 9" and 100 lbs!

Anna is survived by her daughter and son in law, Elizabeth and Louis Mangeri, with whom she lived, her son and daughter in law, William and Joyce Burns, her son in law Donald Gradzewicz and her stepdaughter Paula Rickard. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great children and several nieces and nephews.

Anna was pre deceased by her husbands, William Burns and Joseph Ichton, her sister Mildred Dzioba, her son James Burns, daughter Donna Gradzewicz, her grandson Richard Mangeri and her great grandson Salvatore Azzarito.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.  A funeral service will follow Friday at 12:00pm in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.  In lieu of flowers donations in Anna's name may be sent to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, make checks payable to Children's Cancer Research Fund and mail to: 7301 Ohms Lane, Suite 355, Minneapolis, MN 55439 or Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
