Anthony R. DiPrizio, a longtime resident of Medford, MA, passed away on April 21, 2026 at the age of 93.

Anthony was the son of the late Antonio & Edith DiPrizio. He grew up in Boston's North and West End.  In his youth, he worked in the North Station shining shoes and would bring all of his change home to his mother.

Before enlisting in the U.S. Army, to serve during the Korean conflict, Anthony worked as a cook at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was proud to serve his country and was honored to receive the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Ambassador of Peace Award from the South Korean Government.  He remained a dedicated VFW member of Post #144.

For most of his career, he worked for Draper Labs in Cambridge, MA as a Captain of their security force while faithfully caring for his beloved mother at their home in Lexington.  He spent the years after retirement caring for his brother-in-law, Joe.  More recently, Tony was devoted caretaker to his baby sister "Tree".

Affectionately known as "Cuz", "Pa", "Skippy" and "Cousin St. Anthony", anyone who knew him will smile while they remember him doing dishes, his back to you, wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and his signature yellow rubber gloves, as he hummed a peppy tune.  And boy could he keep a car clean!

Tony is survived by his beloved sister, Theresa Imbornone; his many cousins including, Elaine Spencer, Ralph LoVuolo and wife Rosemary, Larry LoVuolo and wife Laura, Christine Imbornone, Paul Cranfill and wife Carrie, Andrew Cranfill and wife Ashley, Kenny Sciarappa, Teresa Caldarazzo and her husband Peter; his DiPrizio cousins; goddaughter Elena Cabral; and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tony was predeceased by his brother Gennaro; his brother-in-law Joseph Imbornone; his nieces, Staci Sheehan and her daughter Lia, who were both like daughters to Tony; his aunts and uncles whom he cherished.

A wake for Anthony will be held at his home on Sunday, April 26th from 12:00-6:00 p.m. at 5 Luther Road, Medford, MA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, MA on Monday, April 27th at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.
