Obituary

Arthur "Artie" Hart, 71, of Salem, NH passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 22, 2024.

He grew up in Littleton, MA and graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical High School. Artie served his country in the US Army.  He was a Master Mechanic and he worked at Hickory Hill Golf Course for 20 years. Artie could fix anything. He  enjoyed relaxing on his yard swing with a beer in hand, building his dune buggy and entering his 1929 Mercedes convertible in car shows, winning many trophies. He was a Bug Club member, a car club for vintage dune buggy and VW enthusiasts. Artie was an avid Patriots fan. He was devoted to his family and he cherished his grandchildren. Artie had many co-worders and neighbors who were like family.

Artie will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Kathleen Hart; his children, Brian Hart and wife Joan, Keith Hart and Brandie and husband Paul Hafford; his step-children, Jimmy Soucie and wife Sabrina, Todd Baker and Toni Baker; his sister, Cheryl Fitzgerald; his 10 grandchildren, Katarina, Adriane, Diane, Christopher, Skye, Damian, Christopher, Samantha, Emily and Camryn, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Crystal and his brother John.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 28th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
