Behjat Zandbod, 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 4 ^th at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

She was born and educated in Iran, the daughter of the late Akhtar and Hussain Talashi. Behjat came to the US in 1985 for the birth of her granddaughter.  She worked as a bus monitor for First Student in Nashua, NH for many years. Behjat enjoyed dancing to Persian music, cooking and sharing Persian food and good times with her friends. She loved spending time with her family.

Behjat will be deeply missed by her son, Morteza Zandbod  and his wife Elizabeth of Salem, NH; her 2 grandchildren, Amanda Zandbod and her partner Jonathan Grenier and Bijan Zandbod; her great grandson, Rocky Grenier; her family to include her cousins, Hussein Hezarkhani and his wife Shahrzad and the remaining Zandbod and Hezarkhani family.

She was predeceased by her husband Mohamad Ali and her siblings.

Visitation will be Monday, Jan, 9th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.  Memorial contributions in Behjat's name may be sent to Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd, Merrimack, NH 03054.
