Bernard "Bernie" E. Lord, 87 of Salem, NH passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 5 ^th .

He was born and educated in Leominster, MA the son of the late Mildred (Lewis) and Andrew Lord. He served his country in the US Coast Guard. Bernie worked as a customer engineer at IBM for over 40 years where he met his wife.

Bernie enjoyed golfing with his buddies, gardening and spending time in his workshop. He was a talented tinkerer who could fix anything and he was an avid Boston sports fan. Bernie loved spending time with his family and friends. Bernie was a member of Centerpoint Community Church for over 40 years.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Genevieve (Schiavo) Lord of Salem, NH; his four children, Debra Sutcliffe of Goffstown, NH, Christine Ferguson of Port Lavaca, TX and Pam Deveau and husband Derek of Windham, NH and Bernie Lord of Wilmington, MA; his seven grandchildren, Tasha Ferguson and wife Megan Scerra, Tyler and Arielle Ferguson, Robert Guillemette and wife Janie, McKenna and Vanessa Deveau and Benjamin Lord and 4 great grandchildren. Bernie was predeceased by his siblings.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 8 ^th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM at Centerpoint Community Church, 101 School St. Salem, NH.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
