Bernardine M. Dupuis, 72 of Salem, NH passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Donat H. and Rita T. (Legendre) Fregeau, Jr.

Mrs. Dupuis was a resident of Salem for 46 years. She enjoyed bowling, boating, volunteering at Salemhaven Nursing Home and the lake house on Lake Winnipesaukee. Mrs. Dupuis worked for many years for the Salem Town Hall and ended her career as a secretary for the Town of Salem Police Detectives. She looked forward to her annual trip to Aruba with her family. Her family was everything to her.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, their anniversary being Friday; Claude J. Dupuis of Salem, her son; Claude J. Dupuis, Jr. and his wife Kelley of Derry, NH, her daughter; Christine Dupuis Meyer and her husband Arnold of Derry, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Michael Fregeau and his wife Kim of California, two sisters; Donna Fregeau Flick and her husband Craig of Washington State and Patricia Larson and her husband Gary of Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother; Ronald Fregeau, a sister; Janet Burton and a grandson; Michael Garon.

Visiting hours will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday in St. Joseph Church, 40 Main St., Salem. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
