Brian J. Greenfield, 71 of Salem, NH, died peacefully after a four year battle with lymphoma on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Brigham and Woman's Hospital, Boston, MA, surrounded by his loving family.

Brian was born in Lawrence, MA.  He grew up, was educated and has been a resident of Salem, NH for 71 years.

Brian was retired from a private airline company in Portsmouth, NH.  He was a member for many years of the Salem, NH Garden Club as well as a long-standing member of the Flying Tigers radio control model airplane club in Derry NH.  Brian enjoyed being outdoors tending to his water garden and flowers.  He also enjoyed boating and fishing as he grew up with a vacation home on Tredwell Island off the coast of Ipswich MA.  Brian was a Mustang enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows.

Brian was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Dorothy (Playdon) Greenfield, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Carol Greenfield (McCarthy), his children, Amy and her husband Steve Widgren and their children Alexis and Cassandra of Salem, NH, Melissa and her husband Carlos Fernandez and their children Stephanie and Andrea of Pelham NH.  He also leaves behind his brother Mark and his wife Janice of Derry NH; Paul and his wife Louise of Maine; Steven and his wife Linda of Salem, NH as well as several nieces and nephews and his dog Max (his best buddy).

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.  A celebration of Brian's life will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
