Bruce A. Alexander, 81, of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, a son of the late Bruce R. and Jean L. (McPherson) Alexander.

Bruce came to the United States when he was 13 years old and his family settled in Somerville, MA, where he grew up and was educated. He graduated from Somerville High School and later from Northeastern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also proudly served his new home country as a member of the U.S. Army. Bruce worked as a mechanical engineer for Unitrode Corporation in Watertown, MA. He loved living on Arlington Pond in Salem. Bruce was an avid hiker, loved boating, skiing, playing tennis and loved to travel.

He is survived by his wife; Linda A. Bourgeois of Salem, his two sons; Scott Alexander of Sandown, NH and Mark Alexander and his wife Sue of Wakefield, MA, his two daughters; Kris Reynolds and her husband David of Stoneham, MA and Kim Cox of Dracut, MA, his five grandchildren; Nicole, Amanda, Timothy, Bianca, Kevin and Lindsey, his three great-grandchildren; Lily, Brody and Averie. He is also survived by two brothers; John M. Alexander of Anderson, SC and David D. Alexander and his wife Janell of Tigard, OR and his sister; Jeanne Larson and her husband Warren of Venice, FL and also by many nieces and nephews.
