Carol A. (Beeley) Southwick, 78 of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at her daughter's home with her loving family by her side.  She was born in Methuen, MA, the oldest of two children of the late Peter and Frances (Wray) Beeley, Sr.

Carol grew up in Salem and had a love for animals which she carried to this day.  She could never turn a stray away.  She enjoyed school and was a Woodbury High School cheerleader.  Carol worked as an accountant for the Standex International Corporation in Salem for many years.   She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, the Board of Trade and Dollars for Scholars.  Carol enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer.

She is survived by her daughter; Deanna J. Johnson and her husband Donald of Salem, by three grandchildren; Donald Johnson, Jr. and his wife Rebekah, Tyler Johnson and his wife Ashley and Nicholas Johnson, by a great grandson; Dustin Johnson and by her brother; Peter Beeley and his wife Nancy of Salem.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.  A funeral service will follow Thursday at 12:00pm in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell St., Methuen, MA.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 SARL Dr., Salem, NH 03079.
