Charles W. "Bill" Myers, 84 of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born and educated in Kenton, OH, the son of the late Helen (Baum) Gossard and Charles Myers.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and bravely served his country for 21 years. Bill served two terms in the Vietnam War and he also served during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart. After retiring from the Army, Bill was a police officer for many years in Plaistow, NH.
He loved boating and fishing and was an avid Ohio State football fan and a New England Patriots fan. Bill enjoyed bowling in his younger years.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Dorothy (Durbin) Myers of Salem, NH; his daughter Diana and her husband Kirk Guimond of Auburn, NH; his siblings Tom Myers and Beatrice Deckling, both of Kenton, OH; his four grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one great great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Joseph Myers and his six siblings, Robert Myers, Don Myers, Dorothy Purcell, Patti Lou Myers, Jean Janca, Francis Poe.
Funeral Services will be in the Spring at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Our website will be updated once services are scheduled.
