Charles E Moore, 76, died peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughter on May 27, 2020 at Halifax Hospice in Edgewater, Florida.  He was born in Attleboro, MA to Charles E Moore Jr. and Mary (Walsh) Moore on February 26, 1944. He attended Attleboro schools and graduated from Attleboro High School in 1962. The same year, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served honorably from 1962 to 1966.

He lived most of his life in Salem, NH and also Danville NH. He was a police officer in Salem, NH until his retirement in 1998. In 2007, he moved to Edgewater, FL where he enjoyed fishing in the ocean and metal detecting.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Priscilla (Pat) Paradis Moore and his beloved daughter Kathleen Moore of Cohoes, NY; his siblings, Peter Moore and his wife Christine of Attleboro, MA, David Moore and his wife Debra of Louisville, KY and Brenda Moore Bowden of Attleboro, MA; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Albers and her husband Thomas of Haverhill, MA and Dorothy Currier of North Andover, MA.

He will always be remembered as a good decent man who loved his family and his pets. We will miss him always.

He was predeceased by his brother, Paul, his brother-in-law Dennis Currier and sister-in-law Janice Stewart.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 3 ^rd at 11:30 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Thursday from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
