Christine M. Powell

Christine Powell, 48, died in the arms of her loving partner, Cheryl Catenacci, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 after battling a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Salem, NH, Christine graduated from Salem High School in 1994 and later went on to study at Dean College. She later took courses at Northern Essex Community College and Hesser College. She worked as a medical coding and billing specialist for nearly 20 years.

A lover of the ocean, sunrises, long car rides without any destination, the mountains, nature, and animals, Christine was a beautiful spirit whose smile lit up a room and whose laughter was always contagious. She was loyal and loving and the most amazing caretaker for all who she loved.

Christine was the devoted daughter of Judith Powell of Salem, NH and the late Lee Powell; the sister of Steven and Brian Powell, Christine leaves behind cherished, lifelong friends who will miss her terribly.

Christine's family and friends would like to thank the wonderful nurses at Massachusetts General Hospital who treated Chris with dignity and grace as well as the hospice staff at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH for their care and compassion.

A memorial service that celebrates her life is being planned for Christine and will be announced via invitation.
