Obituary

Daniel A. Courtemanche, 80, of Derry, NH passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 12 th at his home.

He was the son of the late Jeannette (Auclair) and Robert Courtemanche. Daniel was born and raised in Methuen, MA and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was successively a route salesman for the Coca-Cola Company and a boat Captain for Yankee Fleet in Gloucester, MA. He later worked for Essex River Cruise and then for Cyr Lumber in Windham, NH. Daniel enjoyed his get-togethers with his fellow Central Catholic Alumni and the Howard Association and he enjoyed Jocko's Jazz Club in Methuen, MA and Amphora Restaurant in Derry, NH.  Daniel volunteered with the Greater Derry Caregivers. He drove others to appointments and helped with small chores and repairs before becoming a client himself.  He loved to spend time in his woodworking shop and he was happiest when he was on the ocean.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his children, Kevin Courtemanche and partner Roseanne Ackerley of Astoria, NY, Valerie Dudley and husband Ronald of Derry, NH, Eric Courtemanche and wife Khunna Prum of Hudson, NH, Danielle Morales and husband Johnny of Lake Worth, FL and his "adopted Daughter" Kerri Densmore and husband Ben of Salem, NH; his sister, Camille Roberge of Lawrence, MA; his 6 grandchildren, Jordan and Alexandra Dudley, Joshua and his significant other; Gezel Mendes, Jonathan and Julian Morales and Meaghan Robertson and husband Dustin; his 5 great grandchildren, Ariela, Ariana, Serenity, Melody and Sophia, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Paul Courtemanche.

A Celebration of Life will take place on July 30th at 4:30 PM at Friendly Red's Tavern, 22 Haverhill Rd. Windham, NH. The attire is casual.  Memorial contributions in Daniel's name may be sent to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284
