Delia "Dee" Rita D'Amico, age 90, of Salem, New Hampshire (previously Medford, Massachusetts) and The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice on January 18, 2025.

Delia was born on December 21, 1934 in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Anthony and Margaret (Ferullo) Perrotti. Delia graduated from Julie Billiart Central High School in Boston, and she later attended Emmanuel College. Delia worked as a buyer at Jordan Marsh and worked in chip assembly at Vicor.

Delia, once told by her parents not to date a sailor or anyone with their own car, met her husband Vito D'Amico Sr – a Navy sailor with a 1949 Lincoln Continental – while attending a dance at Moseley's on the Charles. They married on August 7, 1955 at Sacred Heart Church in Boston with a reception at New England Mutual Hall. Together, they went on to have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of adventures.

Delia was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, belonging to both St. Mary and Joseph Church in Salem, New Hampshire and St. Mark the Evangelist in Summerfield, Florida. Dee was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society, and participated in the Italian Club and New Hampshire Club at The Villages, Florida. Delia was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, talented dancer, avid cruise traveler, Italian home cook, Bingo player, McDonald's Frappe afficionado, MaryAnn's Diner regular, and a friendly and warm person.

Delia is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Margaret Perrotti, and her brother Nicholas Perrotti.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Vito D'Amico Sr; her four children and their spouses Vito Jr (Judith) D'Amico, Stephen (Joanne) D'Amico, Cynthia (Frederick) Napoli, and Paul (Cindy) D'Amico; her 9 grandchildren Colleen, Michael, Danielle, Annemarie, Paul II, Melissa, Nicole, Julia, and Crystal, and their significant others; and her 8 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by loving extended family members and many friends in New England and Florida.

Please join us in celebrating and remembering Delia at her wake on Wednesday January 29, 2025 from 9:30am to 11:30am at the Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH, followed by a 12:00pm Mass at the Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, NH.
