Dennis A. Groulx, 81 of Salem, NH, passed away at Holy Family Hospital on Thursday, February 9th.

He was born and educated in Lowell, MA, one of nine sons of the late Yvette (Massicotte) and Armand Groulx.

Dennis worked for Gillette for many years. He was a substitute teacher for 9 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church for over 60 years and he served as a Eucharistic minister and usher. Dennis was an active member in the Knights of Columbus. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6902 in Pelham and he was awarded Knight of the Year three years in a row. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4442 in Salem, NH and a member of the 4th degree. He previously served on the K of C Assembly #0614.

Dennis loved to travel. He enjoyed reading and photography. Dennis loved to spend time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was an active volunteer and helped many charities and organizations during his lifetime.

Dennis will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 52 years, Irene (Lemieux) Groulx of Salem, NH; his three daughters, Michelle and husband Peter Ladd of Hudson, NH, Donna Marie and husband, David Reidy  of Pelham, NH and Jeanette Groulx of Salem, NH; his seven brothers, Robert and wife Lee of Tewksbury, MA, Ronald and wife Therese of Manchester, NH, William and wife Carol of Ashland, NH, Edward and wife, Marie of Maine, Paula and wife Judy of Ashland, NH and Joseph and wife, Kelly of Londonderry, NH; his 3  grandchildren, Brittany, April and Hunter and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Armand Jr.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 12 Main St. Pelham, NH. Burial will follow in Gibson, Cemetery, Pelham, NH.
