Diana (Vandall) Bean, a lifelong resident of the Merrimack Valley whose vibrant personality and insatiable appetite for life made an impression on all who knew her, passed away on April 5th, 2026 at the age of 83.

Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, Diana graduated from St. Anne's High School and went on to work as a teacher's aide at Mary A. Fisk Elementary School in Salem, NH for several years before moving into an esteemed career at Raytheon. Diana also loved to sing and play guitar and she shared her talents by participating in the folk group at St. Joseph's Church, which she attended. While Diana enjoyed her work and her hobbies, her home was her true sanctuary. From her flower beds and vegetable gardens she tended to with a true green thumb, to her pool where she would spend hours sunning by on warm summer days, to her beautiful holiday decorations she meticulously laid out each season, home was truly where her heart was. She was a true "hostess with the mostest" and her doors were always open to neighbors, friends, and family for countless birthday parties and holiday celebrations.

Diana fervently enjoyed doting on her grandchildren as well as her beloved dachshunds, all of whom she took great pride in. Diana valued faith and family and treasured the times when everyone was able to be together under her roof, with a drink in their hand and sharing a delicious meal at her table.

Diana is survived by her two sons, Michael and his wife, Joanne and Russell and his wife, Laurie; her 5 grandchildren, Michael Jr, Jennifer, Rachel, Haley, and Amber and her 2 great grandchildren Teddy and Lucas.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Bean and her sister, Connie Rand.

Services will be private for the family.
