Dianne Gilchrist, 71, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026 after a period of declining health.
She grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. She built a dedicated career in the community, beginning at Atlantic Associates before moving to McKinnon's. For many years, she served as a driver for Rockingham County Meals on Wheels, where her kindness and reliability touched the lives of countless individuals who depended on her.
Dianne found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an enthusiastic cook and baker, delighting family and friends with homemade treats. She cherished tending to her flowers and plants in her garden. A lifelong fan, she passionately followed the Boston Red Sox through every season. She also held a special place in her heart for Rick Springfield, whose music brought her endless enjoyment.
Her warm spirit, generosity and unwavering love for those around her will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Above all, Dianne treasured time spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
Dianne will be deeply missed by her mother, Donna Landry; her 2 sisters, Brenda Cahill and her husband James, and Cindy Palermo and her husband Will; her sister-in-law, Lynn Landry; her 8 nieces and nephews, Amanda Landry, Amy Rust, Matthew Landry, Melissa Cahill, Melanie Cahill, James Cahill, Dominic Palermo and Gabriella Palermo and her 2 great nieces, Savannah and Caoilainn Cahill.
She was predeceased by her father, Raymond Landry and her brother, Allen Landry.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24th from 4:00 – 5:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 5:30 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
