Donna M. Townsend, 68, of Salem, NH died suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, Jan. 22 ^nd .

She grew up and was educated in Salem, the daughter of the late Concetta (Nicolosi) and Gardner Townsend. Donna graduated from Salem High School. She had worked in security at Walmart. Donna was a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything. She was always happy to fix anything her neighbors brought to her and she enjoyed working on cars. Donna loved babysitting her great niece, Faith and she loved animals.

Donna will be missed by her partner, Carol Potvin of Salem and her children, Lisa and Jewell Hunt of Salem and Susan and Tony Rizzotti of Newton, NH; her brother, Ronald Messina of Salem and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her two brothers; Richard Townsend and Donald Messina, Sr.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 25 ^th from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 4:30 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH 03079. Cremation will follow.
