Doris E. (Jones) Deputy, 87, of Salem, NH passed away on Monday, March 30 ^th at Windham Terrace.

Doris was born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Edith (Whitworth) and William Jones. She was raised in North Andover and graduated from Johnson High School. Doris stayed home with her children for many years until she started working at Kmart in Salem where she met her husband Dick. She went on to work at Digital Equipment Corporation and when she eventually needed a more flexible schedule to make sure her kids made it to every sporting event, she worked as a substitute teacher at Salem High School. Her last working years were spent at her son's company, Freshwater Farms.

She enjoyed knitting, attending church on Sunday, her dog Annabelle and being with her grandchildren. Prior to her husband Dick's passing, they enjoyed many years of travel.

Doris will be sadly missed by her children, Senator Chuck Morse and his wife Susan of Salem, NH; Denise Waites and her husband Michael of Wellington, FL; Debbie Bowen and her husband Tim of Londonderry, NH; Donna Harris and her husband David of Salem, NH; Mark Deputy and his wife Erica of Derry, NH; her twelve grandchildren, Michael and Caitlin Waites, Haley and Kory Deputy, Emma Morse, Erin, Christopher, Stephen and Laura Bowen and David, Cameron and Craig Harris; her four great grandchildren; her sister that she adored, Dorothy Rogers of Methuen, MA and predeceased by her brother William Jones.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
