Doris Flaherty, a long time resident of Salem, NH, died on November 13th in Amherst, MA, at the age of 105.

Mrs. Flaherty was a prominent member of many Salem organizations, including the Women's Club and the Democratic Club.  She ran for the NH state legislature twice when she was in her 80s and 90s.  She was dedicated to the Town of Salem and to Democratic politics even when advancing age made it more difficult for her to participate.

Her husband, Harold Flaherty, predeceased her.  Surviving relatives are  son Thomas Flaherty, Jr. and daughter-in-law Janet Flaherty; daughter Diane Flaherty and son-in-law Bill Gibson; brother Richard Leach; niece Maureen Vanasse and family and grandchildren Tom, Mark and John Flaherty and Casey Gibson.

A memorial service will be held in Salem when in-person events become safe again.
