Doris M. Goodwin, 90 of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Wingate Residence at Haverhill surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Malden, MA, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Berrigan) Duval.

Doris met Havelock "Bud" Goodwin at The Boathouse in Wakefield, MA during a dance, and boy the two of them loved to dance. They eloped and together traveled all over Europe. She loved to travel, spending winters in Florida and she loved being with Bud, spending 67 years with the love of her life. Doris was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed spending time with her family and hosting holidays. She also loved her dogs and her grand dogs.

She is survived by her two daughters; Carol McCoy and her husband James of Salem and Karen Spires and her husband Mark of Salem, by her three grandchildren; Jamie Garabedian and Jennifer and Michael Spires, by her two great-grandchildren; Brendan and Cayden Soto and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Havelock "Bud" Goodwin in 2018, by her brother; William Duval and by her sister; Beatrice Connolly.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow Tuesday at 6:00pm in the funeral home. Her urn will then join Bud's in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH in the spring.
