Doris E. (Paul) Maker, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 24, 1940 in Lynn, MA. She was raised by her Maternal grandparents William and Abbie Collins in Saugus, MA. After graduating from Saugus High School, she met the love of her life Joseph Maker and they resided in Peabody, MA. Doris retired after 25 years from G.E. and Ametek Aerospace and Defense.

Doris was an amazing, loving, caring and strong woman. She loved to be with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time in her gardens, reading, puzzles, cooking and baking for her family. Doris was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Joseph T. Maker and her son Joseph T. Maker Jr.

Doris will be sadly missed by her son, Ron Maker and his wife Kim of Salem, NH; her daughter, Nancy Wallace and her husband Fred of Salem, NH. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Brookhaven Hospice for the wonderful care and love they gave to Doris.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon followed by a funeral service at 12 noon at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
