Doris was raised in Bethlehem and graduated from Bethlehem High School as Senior Class President and Top of her Class.  She continued her education and graduated from Plymouth State College in 1951 with a Bachelor's degree in Education.  She was passionate about teaching and started her career teaching in Whitefield, NH then moving to Salem, NH teaching at the Woodbury School and finally retired from Salem High School as a business and a typing teacher.  Doris had a gift that could inspire and motivate any student to realize and exceed their potential, she was the definition of a great teacher. Mrs. Mosher was devoted to all her students that crossed her path.

After she retired, she continued supporting her grandchildren in their education by providing weekly reading and typing lessons from grade school all the way through high school. She shared her love for reading with anyone and everyone who spent time with her. She was also passionate about basketball, she loved watching basketball whether it was watching her beloved Boston Celtics, her grandchildren's games, or while coaching the high school girls team she led all the way to the State Championships.

Doris always enjoyed adventures especially with the love of her life, her husband, Alton Mosher. The two of them were always on the go with a variety of activities such as square dancing, ice fishing, or driving their RV across the USA and to visit family in Canada, as long as they were together life was grand.  Doris and Alton shared an amazing love story and were married for 68 years.   Mrs. Mosher was also an active member of the United Methodist Church.  Family, faith, and education meant everything to her.
