Dorothy (Obst) Glendye,  92, of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, August 3rd  surrounded by her children at the Derry Rehab and Nursing Center, in Derry, NH.

Dorothy was born in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late Helen (Benker) Obst and Erich Obst. She grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. She deeply loved her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind woman and would do anything she could to help anyone. She loved animals, especially her dog Bootsie. Dorothy loved to take vacations on the beach, watch General Hospital and visit yard sales.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her  4 children, Linda Lee and James Hill, Jr. of Hudson, FL, Robert Glendye of Derry, NH, Deborah Larrabee of Salem, NH and Karen Czifrik and Patrick Boisvert of Farmington, NH; 8 grandchildren, Meghan Carr, Stacey Mauer, JJ Bedard, Molly and husband Paul Frade, Morgan and husband Thomas Schaefer, Nicole Bedard, Eric Czifrik and fiancé Katie Aliberti and Kyle Czifrik; 5 great grandchildren, Cady, Chloe, Nora, Atticus and Emmett and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph and 2 brothers and her sister.

Visitation will be on Wednesday August 9th  from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.
