Obituary

Edwin C. Kulesz, a lifelong resident of Salem, NH (affectionately known as Eddie K) died peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 18 th .

The son of the late Julia (Laszuk) and Charles Kulesz, Eddie K. was born and educated in Salem and graduated from Woodbury High School. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He later met the love of his life, Loretta, who he married and spent 64 wonderful years together. Eddie K was a good man, a humble man who never yearned for recognition or greatness, but did achieve greatness through his family and friends.

Ed was a former volunteer fire fighter for the Town of Salem and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a talented tinkerer and could make or fix anything. Ed enjoyed wine making and was an avid cribbage player. He loved the daily newspaper Sudoku and Word Scramble puzzles. Ed was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church in Salem.

Ed will be sadly missed by his four children, Patricia Kulesz, Thomas and Donna Kulesz; Debra and Robert Slein, all of Salem, NH and Diane and Andrew Bauer of Nashua, NH; his 9 grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole Pelonzi, Matthew Kulesz, Meagan and Timothy Coco, Kaitlyn and Ernie Traynor, Brendan and Stephanie Slein, Connor Slein and fiancé Sophia, Colleen and Joe Engelbrecht, Danielle Bauer and Austin Bauer and 4 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife 65 of years, Loretta (Morency) Kulesz.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 23rd from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will follow Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 40 Main St. Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.

The family would like to thank the staff of Greystone and Brookhaven Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they showed to Eddie K.
