Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Connors) Daniel, 88, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.
She was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Frederick F. and Elizabeth McGuire Connors.
Elizabeth was employed by Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for twenty-five years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband Gerald on trips to Spain, Germany, Italy, and Hawaii, and in retirement, wintering in West Palm Beach Florida for several years with life-long cherished friends. She also enjoyed many road trips with her grandchildren. Elizabeth loved classical music, was an avid movie enthusiast, and an accomplished pianist. She was the director of the first Children's Choir at Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Salem, NH for several years.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister Barbara Connors Vaughan of Salem, NH and her sons, John, and his wife Cindy of Texas and Paul and his wife Carol of Greenland, NH. She leaves her cherished grandchildren, Michael Daniel, Ashley Fitzpatrick, Jason Daniel, Jessica Rowland, Stephen Daniel, and -Sheralee Daniel and their families, including 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, and her special friend and caregiver Lesley Robertson, who provided loving care and companionship in recent years.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-six years, Gerald, her dear son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Annette Daniel, and her brother Frederick Connors.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 18, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home at 214 Main Street in Salem, NH. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 19, at 10:00am at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to High Pointe Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830 or Mary Queen of Peace Parish, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH or a charity of one's choice.
