Emily (Dlugosz) Jackunchuck, 91 ¾, a lifelong resident of Salem, NH got her wish and passed away at her home on Thursday, February 1 ^st . Her home where she had lived and raised her family was only ½ mile away from the house she grew up in.

Emily was a devoted homemaker. She loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. Emily refinished antique trunks. She loved her children, her grandchildren and her dog Gramps. Emily lived her life by the motto, "Be good, be kind and love each other." That was her advice for everyone. She was a member of St. Joseph Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and her siblings, Joseph, Albert, Edward, Louis, Stanley, Jean, Ann and Julia.

Emily will be sadly missed by her children, Peter Jackunchuck of Nashua, NH, John Jackunchuck and wife Linda of Modesto, CA, Debra Gagnon and husband Paul of Wells, ME and Donna Carton and husband Brian of Pelham, NH; her siblings, Daniel Dlugosz of Long Island, NY and Arlene Antolewicz of Haverhill, MA; 6 grandchildren, Ben and Doug Carton, Juno Luna and Jason Gagnon and Keith and Kevin Jackunchuck; 2 great-grandchildren, Chantal and Kaylee; 1 brand new great great grandson Kason and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 4 ^th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be at Douglas & Johnson Funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
