Eric T. Bjorkman, Jr., 79, of Derry, NH passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. He was born in Quincy, MA, a son of the late Eric T. and Dorothy E. (Jarvis) Bjorkman.

Eric was a very loving husband, he was kind and thoughtful, playful and just a plain likeable guy.  He had a quick wit and loved to joke with people and play jokes on people.  Eric loved all sports, watching Fox News and wrestling.  In his younger years he coached his sons in T-Ball and Little League Baseball.  He also loved to fish, hunt and ski.  Eric enjoyed summers at Lake Winnipesaukee, his trips to Aruba, St. Martin, Las Vegas as well as local trips to Foxwoods and going with his wife to play Bingo.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years; Diane (Johnson) Bjorkman of Derry, his two sons; Kirk Bjorkman and his wife Tracy of Manchester, NH and Brian Bjorkman and his wife Joni of Somersworth, NH.  He is also survived by six step children; Cheryl Gaudreau and her husband Kip of Methuen, MA, Linda Cournoyer and her husband Jerry of Derry, NH, Pamela Wilton of Derry, NH, Diana Vitale-McColligan of Derry, NH, Anthony Vitale, Jr. of Manchester, NH and Michael Vitale of Nashua, NH.  Known as Papa to his grandchildren, he is survived by two grandsons; Brian Bjorkman, Jr. and Noah Bjorkman, his step-grandchildren; Louis Gaudreau, Jr., Nicole Moody, Mia Wallace, Jerry Cournoyer, Carissa Cournoyer, Autumn Wilton, Hollie Wilton, Aiden Gauvin, Tia McColligan, Jerry McColligan, Michael Vitale and Adam Vitale and also by his eight step-great-grandchildren; Logan, Aubree, Sarah, Harper, Damien, Jameson, Brady and Nova.  He was predeceased by his brother; Walter Bjorkman.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
