Erlene R. (Cantwell) Dozibrin, 98, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15th.
Erlene was known for her wonderful sense of humor, and infectious laugh. She had a true zest for life and was loved by many. She grew up and was educated in Haverhill, MA and was a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Salem, NH. She was a member of St. Joseph Sodality, the Women's Guild, the Salem Garden Club, and the Salem Singers. Erlene enjoyed life to the fullest. She especially enjoyed gardening, golfing, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. Erlene had an extraordinary gift for bringing joy to everyone she met.
Erlene was predeceased by her husband, Theodore "Ted" Dozibrin in 2012, and is survived by her two children, John Dozibrin and wife Patricia of Salem, NH, and Carol Dozibrin of Hampton, NH, her grandson John Dozibrin Jr., and her two sister-in-laws, Olga Klufts of Salem, NH and Kay Cantwell of Haverhill, MA.
She was 1 of 12 children of Helen and Bernard Cantwell and was sadly predeceased by her 11 brothers and sisters: William Cantwell, George Cantwell, Bernard Cantwell, Robert Cantwell, Arlene Lyons, Mary Elizabeth Uele, Eleanor Kneeland, Dorothy Cantwell, Patricia Ross, Sophie Murphy, and Joan Lessard.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 9:00-10:30 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 40 Main St, Salem NH. Burial is In Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Memorial contributions in Erlene's memory can be made to the Activities Fund of Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at 117 North Road, Brentwood, NH 03833.
