Gary S.
Kingston
d. Apr 12, 2019
Salem
Gary S. Kingston, 64, of Salem, NH passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Medford, MA, the son of the late Delbert and Dorothea (Longo) Kingston.
Mr. Kingston worked for Raytheon as a heating and refrigeration tech for 35 years as part of IBEW Local 1505. He was a calm and patient man, and a steadying presence for his family. Gary loved to golf and was a dearly loved member of the Merrimack Valley Golf Course. He enjoyed music and dancing, skiing, barbequing with family and friends, and taking vacations to tropical destinations with his wife and daughters. He was always up for a good time and usually was the good time. His smile was infectious and his booming laugh would fill any room. Gary was upbeat and positive and never had a problem, always a solution. He welcomed everyone into his home and would always make sure all were well fed and happy. For over 20 years, Gary never missed a Friday "date night" with his wife Rachel. As the "King", he was worshipped by his family and adored by many, and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years; Rachel Kingston of Salem, five daughters; Jennifer (Kingston) Daley and husband Steven of Medford, MA, Julie Kingston and partner Christopher McCue of Amesbury, MA, Kellie (McKenna) Waters and husband Joshua of Burlington, MA, Jamie (Press) Flanagan and husband Nicholas of Sandown, NH and Danielle Press of Salem. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Michael Marino, Sean and Ryan Daley, Max, Cash and Sailor McCue, a brother; Scott Kingston and wife Jane of Andover, MA, a sister; Gail Barton of Reading, MA and by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 18th at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
