Gary F. Lawon, 65, of Salem, NH died unexpectedly on March 17, 2026.

Gary grew up in Salem and he graduated from Salem High School. For the past 20 years, Gary proudly owned and operated his own construction company. A skilled craftsman, he built a reputation for quality workmanship. Gary found his greatest joy in the outdoors. An avid hunter, fisherman and camper, he cherished the time spent in nature.

Gary is survived by his siblings, Douglas Lawton of Salem, NH and Deborah Wood and her husband Brian of Portland, OR; his nieces and nephews, Heather Dufourny, Jonathan and Matthew Wood; his great nieces and nephews, James, Isla, Renata, Roman and Lily.

He was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Raymond Lawton.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.
