Gary R. Rowe, 80, of Salem, NH passed away on Monday, March 18th at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was born in Utah and raised in Wyoming. He graduated from New Castle High School and served his country in the US Navy.  Gary received his Master's in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University, and was the Deputy Director of Finance for the Boston Water and Sewer Commission.

Gary's passion was serving the Lord and he preached when called upon for the past 40 years. He was a member and former Interim Pastor of the Christian Fellowship Church in Londonderry, NH. Gary served the Southern Baptist Convention of New England as President for two years; he was Treasurer of the New England Baptist Church, and Trustee for the Northeastern Baptist College. Gary went on four missionary trips to Belarus. He was devoted to his family and was a very generous person who would help anyone in need.  He also enjoyed sailing on his sailboat.

Gary will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Marie Eileen Rowe of Salem, NH; his 3 children, Gary Rowe Jr. and his wife Holly of Andover, MA, Donna Melendez and her husband Israel of Pasadena, MD and William Rowe and his wife Michelle of Methuen, MA; his brother David Rowe and wife Agnes of Edmonton, Canada; his 7 grandchildren, Emily, Hannah, Jonathan, Julia, Samantha, Alexander and Collin and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ethleen and George Rowe and his brother, Jimmy Rowe.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 21st from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Friday, March 22nd at 11:00 AM at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 5 Rockingham Rd. Londonderry. Please arrive by 10:45 am. Burial services will be private.
