Gene J. Rufo, 47, of Salem, NH died unexpectedly Sunday, October 8th at his home.

He grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School and he has been a lifelong resident. Gene had worked for a number of years as an electrical technician at Vicor in Andover, MA. He enjoyed fishing, sports, 4 wheeling and he was a car enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret "Peggy" (O'Donnell) and John Rufo.

Gene is survived by his 3 brothers, John Michael Rufo and his wife Tammy of Colorado, Anthony Rufo and his husband Sean Gervais of Boston, MA and Chicago, IL, and his twin brother, Stephen Rufo and his wife Sarah of Colorado; 4 nieces and nephews, Mackenzie Kahley, Joshua Rufo, Connor Rufo and Lauren Rufo.

Services are private for the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
