George E. Baribeau, 93, of Salem, NH died peacefully Friday, September 27 ^th at The Residence at Salem Woods.

He grew up and was educated in Amherst, NH and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. George proudly served in the US Army during World War II and he was stationed in the Philippines. He worked as a machinist for GE in Lynn until his retirement. George enjoyed spending time outdoors, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and camping. George also enjoyed working with his hands, repairing things around the house and fixing cars.

George will be sadly missed by his four children, Donald Baribeau and his wife Marie of Pelham, NH, Gary Baribeau and his wife Maura of Wakefield, NH, Kathryn Meadors and her husband Charles of West Chester, OH and James Baribeau and his wife Mary Beth of Peebles, OH; his sister, Lucille Provencher of Hooksett, NH; his 16 grandchildren; his 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Anne (Mansfield) Baribeau, his partner Shirley Lieber, and his siblings, Lillian Brosnan and Leon Baribeau.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 1st from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Oct. 2nd at 10:30 AM in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home followed by military honors. Cremation will follow and the urn committal service will be Thursday, Oct. 3rd at 1:00 PM at Mt. Calvary, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester, NH 03102.
