Gerald J. Daniel, 88, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 26th at the High Point House in Haverhill, MA.

He was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late Irene (Bousquet) and Alfred Daniel. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Gerald was a manager of Baron's TV and Appliance in Lawrence, later becoming an inspector at Lucent Technologies until his retirement.

Gerald enjoyed traveling with his wife Betty to Spain, Italy, Germany, Hawaii, and then wintering in West Palm Beach, FL with lifelong cherished friends. He also enjoyed many road trips with his grandchildren.

Gerald will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Connors Daniel of Salem, NH, his children, John Daniel and wife Cynthia and their children Jason and his wife Daniela; Jessica Rowland and her husband Adam, all of Texas. Paul Daniel and his wife Carol and their children, Michael and his wife Alexia, and Ashley Fitzpatrick and her husband Patrick; and his grandchildren Stephen Daniel, Sheralee Mgrdichian and her husband Mark. He also leaves his great grandchildren Connor, Hannah, Cameron, Amelia, and Julia Daniel; Mark, Sophia, and Leah Mgrdichian; Pierce Rowland; and Norah and Maggie Fitzpatrick, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Anette Daniel, and his siblings Roger and Paul Daniel, and Madeleine St. Cyr.

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 31st from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday, September 1st at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
