Geraldine A. (Murphy) Swift, 90, of Hampstead, NH passed away on Saturday, August 19th at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on March 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Thomas A. Murphy and Lena Murphy. She graduated from St. Rita's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School, Class of 1951. Gerry retired from the IRS in Andover where she was a tax examiner. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Swift. In retirement, Gerry and Joseph spent many winters in Florida and went on many cruises including Alaska and the Caribbean.

Geraldine is survived by her three children, Kevin J. Swift and his wife Debra of Salem, NH, Brian T. Swift of Salem, NH and her daughter Karen Swift of Hampstead NH; her seven grandchildren, Corey Swift and his wife Noelle of Hampstead, NH, Casey and Kaitlyn Swift of NJ, Jannell Levine and her husband Dovev of Portsmouth, NH, Brian J. Swift of Campton, NH, David Swift of Campton, NH, Kristin Maselli of Rocky Hill, CT and Ryan Baldyga of Cromwell, CT; her seven great grandchildren, Lucy and Claire O'Hea, Cole, Hannah, Harrison, Theo and Max

Geraldine was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and John Howell.

Geraldine will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be forever cherished and her legacy of love and kindness will live on through those she leaves behind. Her warm smile and caring personality touched the lives of many.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 27th from 4:00 – 7:00PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Monday, August 28th at St. Anne's Parish, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH. Please arrive to the church by 11:15 AM.
