Obituary

Ginger Murphy, 86, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Bastek) Logan. She attended St. Mary's Catholic High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Ginger worked for many years for Western Electric in North Andover.  She also owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Haverhill, MA for 17 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Everyone who met Ginger was drawn to her friendly, kind, generous manner.   She was fun, lively, and always had a great sense of humor.  Ginger took great care of her family and friends and she was always there to help those in need.   It is not an exaggeration to say that Ginger will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.  Ginger often talked of how proud she was of her children and grandchildren; in fact she said that her children and grandchildren made her life what it was.

She is survived by her two daughters; Joyce Buja and her husband Donald and Susan Burns and her husband Robert, all of Pittsfield, NH, her four grandchildren; Bob Burns, Erin Cianciolo and her husband David, Tom Buja and his wife Kristen, and Todd Burns and fiancé Susie Johnson.  She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; Taylor Burns, Samantha Burns, Gavin Cianciolo, Julianna Cianciolo, Brady Cianciolo, Brody Buja and Ethan Buja and by her two brothers; Richard Logan and his wife Shirley of Derry, NH and John Logan and his wife Jean of Londonderry, NH.  Ginger will also be mourned by a network of extended family and close friends who loved her dearly.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, private family services will be held.  A celebration of Ginger's life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Future in Sight (formerly NH Association for the Blind) 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301.
