Gloria Jeanne (Bunker) Dobson, 73, of Derry, NH passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. She was born in Bangor, ME, a daughter of the late George and Edna (Crabtree) Bunker.
Jeanne was quite a character! She was a fun, funny woman who had a quick wit about her and refused to bite her tongue. She meant what she said and said what she meant. She enjoyed the ocean, the beaches, the mountains and was a rabid NE Patriots fan. She also loved helping and taking care of people. She was the unofficial "patient advocate" at the nursing home she lived in. Jeanne lived in Salem, NH for many years as well as in Derry. She was "the Mom" to the neighborhood and took care of so many kids throughout her life and she was always there when needed. Jeanne was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star in Salem. She was a stubborn, awesome woman with a big heart. And remember, it's not Jeanne, its mom.
She is survived by two sons; Eric Dobson of Manchester, NH and Joseph Dobson of Bangor, ME. She was predeceased by her son; George Smith. She is also survived by a granddaughter; Amanda Lee and by her former neighbor and good friend; Cheryl Masterson of Derry.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be held. Please check back on this website and social media for updated service information.
