Halina J. Skiba, 83, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Tuesday, February 20th at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.

Halina was born in Poland and survived World War II. She was educated as a pediatric nurse and practiced for many years in Poland. She came to America with her husband in 1962. Halina worked for over 20 years at The Brooks School in North Andover. She was very adventurous and loved to travel. She also loved the slot machines and BINGO, and she loved to knit for friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Bronislaw "Bruno" Skiba, wife Tammy, her granddaughter, Subarashii, of Salem, NH and her sister, Mary Dybowska, her niece Jolanta Dzierkowska, of Warsaw, Poland.

She was predeceased by her husband Konstanty S. Skiba.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH
