Harvey W. Berry, 76, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Salemhaven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Salem. He was born in Royal, AR, the fourth child to Langston and Iva (Smith) Berry. He was a US Navy Veteran and a retired chemical engineer.
Harvey spent his younger years in Arkansas and Oregon hunting, fishing and building hot rods. While enlisted in the US Navy, he served at bases in Norfolk, VA and Scotland. While stationed in Scotland, he met and later married Patricia. Once his enlistment was up, he located to Freeport, TX where he started his family and his career in chemical engineering. His career brought him to Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and New Hampshire.
Harvey enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, traveling, building and working on his computers, watching baseball, NASCAR and "old" Westerns. His favorite thing to do was spend time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Salem; his sons, Glen Berry of Salem and Michael Berry and his wife Blanca of Green Valley, AZ; his two granddaughters, Brittany and Victoria Berry; his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce Bell and Dorman of Thorndale, TX and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers; Glen and Milburn Berry.
Services will be private for the family.
