Havelock A."Bud" Goodwin, 88, of Salem, NH died Tuesday, March 13 ^th at Prescott House in North Andover, MA.

Bud was born in Nova Scotia, Canada and he grew up and was schooled in Canada and Malden, MA. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Purity Supreme where he was the Purchasing manager. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed playing cards and traveling. He was a member of the Salem VFW Post #8546. Bud was a devoted husband and he dearly loved his family. He also had a passion for dogs and passed his love of dogs to his children. Bud had a wonderful sense of humor that he kept right to the end.

Bud will be sadly missed by his wife, Doris (Duval) Goodwin of Salem; his daughters, Carol and husband James McCoy of Salem, NH and Karen and husband Mark Spires of Salem, NH; his sister, Phyllis Knopp of Burlington, MA; his 3 grandchildren, Jamie Garabedian and Jennifer and Michael Spires and 2 great grandchildren, Brendan and Cayden Soto.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral service Monday, March 19 ^th at 2:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Please arrive by 1:45PM. There are no calling hours. Cremation will follow and burial of the urn will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date.
