Obituary

Helen Mary (Leriche) Conley, 96, daughter of the late Alice E. (Allen) and Leo E. Leriche and Uncle Albert E. Searle, passed away at home on May 12th surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Salem, NH, she was a member of The First Congregational Church and the ladies Philathea Class and worked on many church suppers. She graduated with honors from Woodbury High School, Salem. NH and the Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture, Lawrence, MA.

She worked at the Internal Revenue Service, Andover, MA retiring in 1984.

Our Mom/Grammie/Mimi/Grammie Helen has always been the golden heart of our family. She with her loving husband and best friend of over 73 years were an inseparable team. A team built on love, trust and kindness for each other. Together they selflessly gave of themselves to our family and to others less fortunate. Everyone loved them. After a full day of work they loved going out to dinner together and looked forward to a dip in their gorgeous outdoor pool!

She was our "96 year old iPad Queen", very tech savvy and used her iPad on a daily basis to communicate with her family via texts, emails and playing Ruzzle games. With a sharp mind and quick wit, she often took the win on late games nights of double solitaire and boggle. She also loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. With a smile that would light up the room, she had many funny comeback lines!

She had the most creative mind. She enjoyed sewing her and her daughters' clothes, crocheting and knitting. She would design a magical garden of floral beauty in the spring and instruct you on making the perfect apple pie in the fall; patiently teaching and sharing all her creativity with everyone she loved.

Not a day went by where she didn't talk about how much her family meant to her. She was the kind of person who just had a lot of love in her heart and more love to give with every additional child, grandchild, great grandchild and even great great grandchild that became a part of our family. Her family was her life.

We have all been blessed by her love and grace. She always said that she was so lucky to have all of us but in reality we are the lucky ones to have known such a wonderful, kind and remarkable lady. I speak for our whole family that we are the proudest people in the world to call Helen Mary Conley "our Mom/Grammie/Mimi/Grammie Helen".

Helen is survived by two daughters Barbara A. Conley and Helen F. Anderson and husband Gary all of Salem, NH; eight grandchildren, Gary Anderson Jr. of Greenville, MI, Helen Kaplan and partner Mark of St. Clair Shores, MI, Francis Anderson of Shingle Springs, CA, Victor Anderson and wife Alyssa of Boston, MA, Jodi Tyler and husband David of San Tan Valley, AZ, Tricia Roy and husband David of Salem, NH, Kristie Wagner and husband Shawn of Riverside, IL, and Barbie Lynch and husband Matthew of Hingham, MA; thirteen great grandchildren, Jami Cossette and wife Sophie, Hali Kunst, Brendan Tyler, Kaila, Kiana and Kalli Roy, Brooke and Aria Lynch, Tori, Nicholas and James Anderson and Jake and Vivien Wagner; three great great grandchildren, Noah, Lucas and Jack Cossette.
