Henry A. "Hank" Donovan, 85, of Derry, NH and formerly of Salem, NH died Thursday, April 12 ^th after a short illness at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Hank was born and educated in Methuen, MA, the son of the late Maud (Chivall) and Augustine Donovan. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Hank was a truck driver for GTE Sylvania in Danvers, MA for 28 years. After retiring, Hank worked at Mobile Welding and Auto Repair in Salem.

He was a member of Teamsters Local #42, a life member of the Lawrence Elks, a member of the Lawrence Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Methuen VFW Post #8349, the Methuen American Legion, Post #122 and the Pelham, NH VFW Post #10722.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rita (Chretien) Donovan, his beloved daughter, Linda Puglise and his brother, Donald Donovan.

Hank was the loving grandfather of (whom they lovingly called Nut), Alysha, Anthony and Joseph Puglise. He is also survived by his long time girlfriend, Valerie Conneilly; his sister, Maureen Donovan and husband Ray Fabian of Pelham; his Aunt and Uncle Dorothy Chivall and Harold Thornley of CO; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 19 ^th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Cremation will follow and burial of the urn will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem,
