Henry G. Woodbury, 90, a lifelong Salem resident, died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Salemhaven Nursing Home following a short illness.

Born in Salem, he graduated from Woodbury High School in 1950 as Class Marshall and co-captain of the football team. He enlisted in the Air Force, rose to Staff Sergeant and received an Honorable Discharge in 1954. He first worked for Radio Foods Corporation and then worked for Demoulas for over 30 years until his retirement. He worked second jobs to fund his twin sons' college and law school educations. One hobby was making birdhouses, which were sold as far away as Swans Island, Maine. He also enjoyed gardening and coin collecting.

The widower of Geraldine (Pica) Woodbury, he was predeceased by his brothers Charles and William, his sister Shirley and his parents Henry L. and Beatrice.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen and his wife Nancy of Salem and Eric and his wife Annie of Verona Island, ME; his sister Gertrude of Tucson, AZ and his grandchildren Theo and Rose.

Calling hours will be on Monday, March 28 ^th from 6:00 – 8:30 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.  The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
