Obituary

Ivan J. Silva, 31, of Lawrence, MA passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Ivan is survived by his beloved son, Ivan M. Silva, his parents, Fabiene (Fifi) Silva and Ivan Silva, his siblings Jesse Silva, Jade Torres and her husband Quincy Torres, and Jasmine Silva, his grandmother Janice Pelletier, his nephew Josiah Silva, and his nieces Alexandra (Lexie) Torres, Savannah Santiago, Elena Torres, Sophia, and Quinn Torres, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ivan was predeceased by his two older brothers, Joshua Silva and Jeremiah Silva, his grandfathers Joseph Pelletier and Washington Silva, and his grandmother Miriam Priest.

Ivan was born and raised in Lawrence, MA but attended school in Newburyport, MA. Growing up, Ivan was always the funny guy. He was quick to crack a joke, and everyone knows he did the BEST impressions that would have you hysterically laughing over and over again. He played various sports growing up, such as baseball and football. While he had many, many friends, his brothers were his best friends. It was rare to see Ivan doing anything without one of his brothers being right next to him. In addition to his close relationship with his brothers, he was a great brother to his sisters. His sister Jade remembers him being such a good sport letting her and her friends play with him. He never hesitated to spend time with his sisters doing the things they loved, even if it was considered "girly". He was such a great friend as well. Many of his friends growing up can attest to the fact that he was more like a brother than a friend. That is just who Ivan was- someone who cared and someone who was loyal until the end to those that meant something to him.

At the age of nineteen, Ivan became a father to his precious son, Ivan Silva. Although he was a young parent, it was hard sometimes to believe that because of how good of a father he was. Ivan was a single dad that loved his son fiercely. He raised his son to be the smart, loving, and handsome young man that he is today. Anyone who knows Ivan knows that his son was his whole world, and he was the whole world to his son.

Ivan will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
