Jack Williamson, 58, of Salem, N.H., passed away on Tuesday, May 11, at High Point Hospice House after a valiant battle against cancer.

He grew up and was educated in Tewksbury, Mass., the son of the late Barbara (Corbo) and Robert Williamson. He graduated from Tewksbury High School. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, target practice and rides along the coast in his convertible. He was an avid New England sports fan. Jack had a great sense of humor.

Jack will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 21 years and his sweetheart of 40 years, Gail (Mellino) Williamson of Salem, N.H.; his two children, Jacqueline McGurren and husband Jeffrey of Hudson, N.H., and Jared Williamson and Brenna Blakslee of No. Andover, Mass.; his siblings, Barbara Ann Rodwell of N.H., Paul Williamson of Goffstown, N.H., and Donald Williamson and wife Sharon Schumaci of Atkinson, N.H.; his sister-in-law, Charlene Williamson of Derry, N.H.; his grandson and his little buddy, Jaxton McGurren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Marden.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 13, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH 03079. The funeral service will be private for the family.
