Obituary

Jacqueline V. (Bradstreet) Tatlis, 82, of Salem, NH, passed away at SalemHaven Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on February 24 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late James "Bert" and Josephine (Donahue) Bradstreet.

Jackie was a graduate of St Patrick High School, Lawrence. She is remembered as loving and kind, with a great sense of humor, and considerable oratorical skills. Her calm and peaceful manner stood her in good stead as she raised her nine children, never raising her voice, while maintaining a happy, organized household. Making Christmas cookies with all nine children around the kitchen table is a fond memory they all share. She loved decorating her house for holidays, and it added to the good cheer she fostered there. An avid reader, Jackie could most often be found with a book in hand at the end of her long day.

Although Jackie was not well for many years, she never complained about her lot in life, but greeted everyone with her laughing brown eyes and warm smile. Her faith meant a great deal to her, and was a comfort and strength as her health worsened. She lived a message she frequently gave her children: "If you don't have anything good to say about someone, don't say anything." She knew and respected each of her children, and was always there for each one in good times and bad. She was quick to thank all those who helped her in any way, and was well loved by her care- givers. Jackie will be greatly missed by everyone whose life touched hers.

"Jackie" leaves her husband, James Tatlis, of Salem, NH, and her children Catherine Tatlis (Gail Buscanera) of Salem, NH, Mary Tatlis, of Derry, NH, Jacqueline Tatlis Fermoyle (Ricky) of Londonderry, NH, James Tatlis of California, Anne Tatlis Lofgren, (William) of Manchester, NH, Ellen Tatlis Cailler, (Lee Cailler) of Warner NH. Geralynn Tatlis Potvin (Mark) of Franklin NH, Mark Tatlis of Durango, Colorado and Christine Tatlis Fulton (William) of Derry, NH. She also leaves her grandchildren Matthew Buscanera, Eric Liwanag, Kara Liwanag, Monica Lofgren, Marissa Lofgren, Angela Spirdione, Maxine Callier, Michael Berthold, Kallie Tatlis, William Fulton, Charles Fulton, James Fulton, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother David of Haverhill, MA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister; Janet Bradstreet MacLellan.
