James "Jim" Murray Haigh, 75, of Salem, NH passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2018.
He was born and educated in Methuen, MA on July 8, 1942 to the late Wesley and Madeline (Owen) Haigh. Jim was a self employed stone mason until his retirement in 2013. He always said how lucky he was to have found something he loved to do, and it showed in the exquisite work that he performed. Jim also enjoyed fishing and horse racing. He had been a successful thoroughbred owner from 1988 until the early 2000's.
He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Judith (Mann) Haigh.
Jim is survived by his only child, daughter Patricia (Haigh) Healey and her husband Robert of Salem, NH with whom he lived; his 4 grandchildren, Rebecca, Mason and Hunter Healey, all of Salem, NH and Jessica Mele of California; his great grandson, Gavin Strassel of Salem; his twin brother, William Haigh and his longtime partner Grace Barchard of Daytona Beach, FL; his nephew, Wesley Haigh and his wife Davina of St. Augustine, FL as well as many nieces and nephews.
There are no public services. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
