Obituary

Janet D. (Saulnier) DeDeus, 66, of Rye, NH, passed away on July 25, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Linus and Violet (Guyette) Saulnier. Janet was the beloved wife of James M. DeDeus for forty-seven years.

Janet was born in Lowell, MA and was raised in Salem, NH. She was the much-loved sister of her six siblings, brothers Linus, Bruce and the late Michael Saulnier and sisters Francine Czekanski, Eleanor D'Agostino and Eileen Pappadopoulos. As a teen, Janet met the love of her life, Jim, and they were married in 1970. They had two children, Allison (DeDeus) Viger and James DeDeus. As a family, they enjoyed many adventures including traveling throughout Europe. Janet was an amazing mother, who supported her children in music and sports, always there to cheer them on. Later, she would lovingly welcome Allison's husband Edward and James' wife Kimberly to the family

Janet was the co-founder of JMD Industries with her husband. Janet served as Vice President and Treasurer until her retirement in 2007. During that time, she was a driving force behind the company's growth and success, and was well-loved by employees and customers alike.
But the best was yet to come. By far, the pride and joy of Janet's life were her six grandchildren. Adrianna, Sophia and Zachary Viger, and James, William and Hunter DeDeus. Mimi, as they called her, was the light of their lives, always doting and loving on her precious little ones. Each grandchild brought a renewed sense of vitality to Janet, and her heart swelled with each new arrival.

Janet is survived by her husband, James M. DeDeus, her son-in-law and daughter Edward and Allison Viger, and their children Adrianna, Sophia and Zachary, and her son and daughter-in-law James S. and Kimberly DeDeus, and their children James, William and Hunter. Her brothers Bruce (Amy) Saulnier, Linus (Betty) Saulnier, and her sisters Francine Czekanski, Eileen Pappadopoulos and Eleanor (Errico) D'Agostino. She was also favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews.
